The Company
Ohana Parental Assessment Centre is a small independent and privately run service based in East London.
We provide residential parenting and risk assessments for up to six vulnerable parents and their children from the ages of 0 – 4 years old, where there are child protection concerns.
We are primarily involved in producing evidence based parenting assessments, which are designed to inform decisions for Courts and Local Authorities.
We are also able to offer pre-admission Viability Assessments and on-going community assessment upon request.

Ohana Parental Assessment Centre is an Ofsted registered company that, undertakes various assessments for vulnerable families.
Our assessment centre is from pre-birth for expectant mothers, parents and their children from the ages of 0 – 4 years old in a very supportive and nurturing environment, what we refer to as home from home experience, in order to achieve positive outcomes parents and their babies.
Our service provides continuous parenting assessments, risk assessments & support plan and in all to provide an excellent residential accommodation for four vulnerable parents and their babies where the Local Authority has concerns.

what we do
We accept parents from the age of 13 years up to 40years. Our placements can either be a single assessment for a mother / father and their baby or a joint assessment for a father, mother and baby.
The families we have may have domestic violence issues, drug, alcohol or substance misuse and families with learning difficulties.
In addition we assess and support vulnerable expectant mothers by giving information, advice, guidance and counselling until the birth of the child.
We provide onsite specialists services with experienced multi-disciplinary teams of social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, drug and alcohol workers and family support workers.
We aim to provide assessments which are independent, robust, evidence based, child centred and detailed according to good practice and childcare legislation.
