Ohana Parental Assessment Centre is able to offer pre-admission Viability Assessments upon request.
Viability Assessments are used to consider the appropriateness of offering a residential parenting assessment. The emphasis is about establishing whether the parents have the potential to change and if so whether this will be within their children’s timescales.
Viability Assessments involve us reading the relevant case papers, and at times undertaking an interview with the parents and speaking with those who can provide any additional information that is relevant to the assessment.
Ohana Parental Assessment Centre will provide a report as to the appropriateness of a parent(s) admission to the centre within 7 working days of receiving the relevant papers.
